about

All pieces written, performed, and produced by Over the Air. Recorded at Breezin' Studios by Ken Friesen.

These tracks were recorded, mixed, and mastered in late August and early September in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. They are the soundtrack to our summer. It's hard for us to believe it has come this far, but here it is -- "The Copperfield EP" -- a collection of four demo recordings. We thank you for your support, and we sincerely hope that some of this music finds its way into your hearts the way it has into ours.

Love,
Over the Air

Track Name: Westward and Landlocked
Third one awake, I've tried counting everything that these walls can take but nothing I say can replace the feeling of the rest of my life drifting slowly away. I've never wanted to be tied to any vessel's wake, no.

The first world is trembling like the wake of your liner with no one to save. I am learning to breathe underwater. I'm learning to sing so loud that these high seas will shatter your crystal, the kind that you keep at the top of your favor. The favor you'd do me: whatever you need....

Make you write for it, 'cross the blue blanket, make you write back home.
Make you write for it, 'cross the blue blanket, make you write back home for it.

When the music stops, I'll be singing about all the lightning and waves that shook from the lookout, to the brave ones stationed below, guiding me home and you away. I've severed my ties, I've burned all the parchment, I've laid waste to the lighthouse's eyes. There's no cavalry coming around. Whatever you need....

Make you write for it, 'cross the blue blanket, make you write back home.
Make you write for it, 'cross the blue blanket, make you write back home for it.

When the music stops inside, I'll be singing about all the lightning and waves that shook from the lookout, to the brave ones stationed below, guiding me home and you away. I've severed my ties! I've burned all the parchment! Laid waste to the lighthouse's eyes, and I will make you write for it, make you write for it, make you write back home.

Until you find a better home.
